AHMB Horizons is aware of the various issues raised related to the
disclosure of personal information on the Internet. AHMB Horizons will
respect at all times your right to confidentiality when you visit its
Internet sites and use its services to shop, perform various
transactions, or to inform or entertain you.
You will find below the main policies and procedures which AHMB
Horizons agrees to abide by with regard to the confidentiality of

Changes in Policy and Procedures
Since Internet-related technologies are constantly changing, these
policies and procedures related to the confidentiality of personal
information are subject to change at any time. Any change will be
posted on this page. More specifically, if we make major changes to
our current policies and procedures, any such changes will be posted
at least thirty (30) days prior to their coming into force and our
users who have forwarded their email address to us will be notified
directly thereof by electronic mail.
We encourage you to visit this section regularly to verify whether any
changes have been made.
Personal Information Collected by AHMB Horizons
Prior to accessing some of its Internet sites, AHMB Horizons may/will
ask you to fill in a form on which you must provide certain
information.
Also, to personalize your services, AHMB Horizons may/will ask you to
fill in a form on the screen and provide personal information such as
your sex, age, education, etc.
Finally, AHMB Horizons may/will sometimes ask you to fill in other
forms with additional personal information for contests, surveys and
special offers in which you may want to participate.
Objective of the Collection of Information
The personal information requested by AHMB Horizons is solely intended
to offer you services, content, tools or advertising which correspond
to the preferences you have informed us about by way of the various
forms, so you can derive the most benefit from your visits to our
Internet sites.
Email Addresses
With users' email addresses, AHMB Horizons can regularly send
interested users promotional information concerning services offered
by AHMB Horizons or its advertisers. You can still register on the
form even if you do not wish to receive promotional information from
AHMB Horizons. Also, AHMB Horizons can contact you by using your email
address about your statement of account, changes to your subscription
agreement, or to confirm your registration.
A “Send to a Friend” function is a simple way for AHMB Horizons to
email articles you find interesting to your friends. The email address
you provide will not be used for any other purpose.
AHMB Horizons will not send any unsolicited emails.
We use email links in our Contact Us page to allow you to contact us
directly for any questions or comments you may have. With your email
address, we can respond to you directly about your questions or
comments.
The Use of “Cookies”
AHMB Horizons uses “cookies” in order to recognize users and provide
them with personalized services for which they have registered and
also to monitor their visits to the site. AHMB Horizons also uses
anonymous “cookies” for the purpose of evaluating the traffic at its
sites and setting fees for its advertising space. In this way,
advertisers know how many users have visited one of our sites and for
how long so they can measure the actual or likely impact of their
advertising on our sites. However, it should be noted that advertisers
who purchase advertising space from AHMB Horizons cannot identify
themselves to you personally.
Finally, to place advertising on our Internet sites, we plan to use a
server developed by a company called DoubleClick. Some of the
advertisements may include “cookies” installed by third parties
(advertising agencies, advertisers, etc.). We do not have access to
them or to the information they contain. Please contact the
advertisers for more information about their “cookies”.
Statistical Analyses and Targeted Advertising
AHMB Horizons may conduct statistical analyses of user behaviour to
assess the interest generated by different sections of its sites and
thus improve product development and also inform advertisers of the
number of users who have “clicked” on their advertising banners.
AHMB Horizons may also provide advertisers with demographic data and
information of special interest to users so advertisers can target
their advertising. That means that users see advertising which
interests them and advertisers send their messages to more receptive
people, thus improving the users' experience and the effectiveness of
the advertising.
With statistical analyses and targeted advertising, we only disclose
the information as an aggregate and not on an individual basis.
Personal information about you as a user is not provided to third
parties without your agreement, subject to the circumstances described
in the Legal Compliance section.
IP Addresses
AHMB Horizons registers IP addresses or the location of your computer
on the Internet for purposes of system administration and
troubleshooting. It should be noted that we do not use the
registration of IP addresses to monitor your session or your behaviour
on our sites.
Consent
When AHMB Horizons asks you for personal information, you are always
given either an express or an implied notice. You are also informed
that the information will be processed, i.e. the processing related to
the collection, registration, preparation, change, storage or
destruction of said personal information.
You always have the choice of refusing this request or stopping a
subscription to a personalized service that you may have previously
chosen.
Limitation of the Collection of Information
AHMB Horizons only collects personal information required to meet the
objective for which said personal information is collected.
Limitation of Use, Disclosure and Storage
Use
AHMB Horizons only uses personal information for the purposes for
which a user has given his or her consent, unless its use has been
authorized by law (see in this regard the section dealing with Legal
Compliance).
Disclosure
Without your express prior consent, the personal information collected
by AHMB Horizons remains strictly intended for its use and is not
accessible to any of its customers, partners, advertisers or other
outside parties, subject to the Statistical Analyses and Targeted
Advertising and Legal Compliance sections. In addition, we will not
disclose any personal information about you as an individual to a
third party, subject to the circumstances described in the Legal
Compliance section.
Legal Compliance
AHMB Horizons may disclose personal information about a user if we are
legally required to do so, or if we believe, in good faith, that such
a disclosure is necessary to 1. Comply with any law or regulation in
force or a legal proceeding; 2. Protect and defend our rights and
interests or those of our users; 3. Prevent any unauthorized use of
AHMB Horizons' Internet sites; or 4. Protect the personal security or
the interests of our users or the public in general.
Storage of Information
AHMB Horizons only stores personal information for a period which is
reasonably necessary to meet the purposes for which it was collected.
Then, we erase or make anonymous any personal information which is no
longer required for a specific purpose.
Access and Accuracy of Information
Upon request, AHMB Horizons will provide you with access insofar as
possible to any personal information you have given us. This
information may only be referred to by the user related to a specific
profile.
Also, upon request, AHMB Horizons will (a) destroy or make anonymous
personal information about you that it keeps in its databanks; (b)
correct any personal information that you state is erroneous; and (c)
allow you to withdraw from mailing lists of future emails (except for
notices of major changes in the service) while allowing you to

To prevent any unauthorized access, maintain the accuracy of
information and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have
implemented the appropriate physical, electronic and administrative

If you believe that AHMB Horizons has not abided by its policies and
procedures related to the confidentiality of personal information,

analyze any problem you draw to our attention and make reasonable
efforts to correct it, if necessary. In addition, we will keep you
informed of all the steps we take in this regard.

AHMB Horizons' sites contain hyperlinks to Internet sites managed by
third parties. These links are only suggested for your convenience.
Activating these links may cause you to leave AHMB Horizons' sites.
Please note that AHMB Horizons does not have any control over third
party Internet sites and the fact that such sites have links to AHMB
Horizons’ sites does not incur AHMB Horizons’ liability in any way
whatsoever. Consequently, any personal information you provide on
third party sites will necessarily be subject to these other sites'
policies and procedures. AHMB Horizons cannot be held liable at any
time for any abuses which may result. We recommend that you read
carefully the policies and procedures related to personal information

Chat Rooms and Bulleting Boards
Some of AHMB Horizons’ sites may offer chat rooms and bulletin boards.
The voluntary disclosure of personal information in a chat room or on
a bulletin board is not governed by these policies and procedures
related to the confidentiality of personal information. Any
information you disclose will become accessible to the public and you
provide such information at your own risk. Consequently, this
information may be collected and used by third parties without your
prior consent. In summary, if you provide personal information on line
and this information is accessible to the public, you risk receiving
unsolicited messages from third parties.
We advise you to remain prudent and attentive at all times when you
are on line on the Internet.
Children
We believe that none of AHMB Horizons’ sites appeal directly to
children of 13 years old or less. If we develop such a section on one
of our sites, we will only request a minimum amount of personal
information from users.
