Let us answer your questions....

What is Homeschooling Horizons Magazine?
Published 10 times per year at the low rate of $23.95 per year ($23.95CDN for residents of Canada/ $23.95USD for United States and foreign subscriptions), Homeschooling Horizons is the offspring of homeschooling parents and support group contacts across Canada.  The creation of Homeschooling Horizons Magazine came from the need of the Canadian homeschooling community for a Canadian-based, low cost, publication devoted to encouraging home educating parents.

Why is this publication so necessary?
The purpose of this magazine is to offer encouragement and practical advice to better equip home educating parents; to encourage the growing number of families committed to quality education of their children at home; and to inspire families to take their child's love of learning to heart.

With the proliferation of homeschooling magazines available from the United States, parents were dipping into their children's curriculum fund for much needed inspiration.  With the sole goal of helping new and veteran home educators - and with the budget-conscious, single income homeschooler in mind -- Homeschooling Horizons was born.  Knowing the diverse and dynamic nature of homeschoolers in Canada, we strive to provide articles from across the globe and ideas outside of the "Teaching Styles" box.  Whether you are using a traditional school-at-home curriculum, or a providing your children a unschooling or natural learning environment, you will find Homeschooling Horizons' pages encouraging.

Filled to the brim with something just for you, you will find:
- Articles covering a wide range of teaching and learning styles;
- A monthly Specialty Section spanning a variety of topics;

Regular Features Include:
- Letters from Home: Thoughts from You, the Reader
- Teen Planner; Math Made Easy; Science Central; and 3-R's;
